Yahoo! might be the 44th on the top 100 best companies to work for list by Fortune but i finally decided to open a category for Yahoo in my blog. I have no idea how many of you out there heard of this Yahoo! feature called “Yahoo! Upcoming“? I will admit, i didn’t.

It is actually what is sounds like from the term upcoming. Yahoo upcoming is an online even organizer. It will show all your local events in different categories like music, education, visual art, media, social, sports, media, commercial, festival etc. The website was known as upcoming.org before now they submerged with Yahoo! and become a part of one of the largest online community.

One of the two things i liked about this great feature from Yahoo upcoming is you can actually get real information about your local events that you are not aware of which might be taking place really close to your home. For some reason if you missed an event advertisement on newspaper or TV you can always find them at Yahoo! Upcoming.

Secondly, you can also get to know how many Yahoo! users (local or non-local), your friends or family members are participating in these events. This is another great way to make time to socialize with your friends and co-workers and spread your network.
