What People Are Searching For

Searching is a constant thing that all of us are doing everyday; searching for job, searching for used cars, searching for address, searching web and whole lot of things using search engines. But have you ever wonder what people are searching all over the world?
Very recently i published an article on where you can look for top search engine queries or mostly search terms in the internet. After publishing the article almost 2 weeks ago, today SEOMoz announced that they are offering a free tool where an aggregation of popular search queries gathered from various sources across the web.

The news is not only good for search engine optimizers but also informative for any curious individual like you. To combine this list of top search engine queries SEOMoz used commonly used top 13 sources; these are:
- * Technorati - popular tags & popular searches all on one page
- * Flickr - popular tags
- * Del.icio.us - popular tags
- * Yahoo! Buzz - shows top search terms and rising trends (though it’s certainly somewhat filtered)
- * Google Hot Trends - shows a smattering of current trends in search (though this data appears more filtered and less representative than Yahoo’s)
- * eBay Pulse - top searches and stores at eBay
- * AOL Hot Searches - as with Yahoo!, both rising stars and bright-burning constants appear on the lists
- * Lycos Top 50 - as above

Thanks for this list.
I suspect that if you just kept including often-searched-for words and terms on your blog it would have to substantially increase your traffic over time. (Especially if they were consistently popular words.)
It is partially correct. Of course if you have more popular keywords in your posts, you are more likely to get good amount of web traffic. But if you do not have enough inbound links to your pages, you might not show up on the top list in SERP. As a result, not a lot of traffic from Search Engines. Because think about it, there are many bloggers out there who are thinking exactly like us and writing popular keyword rich posts everyday.
