A recent article at O’Reilly rader published this news on July 16th. The Open Library project is open for demonstration. They developers for this project need feedback from different section of internet community. The target of this project is to digitalized entire collection of books from all over the word. Now, you can guess how enormous and how difficult this project can be.
The Open Library’s major drawback can be failure to protect copyrighted material & non textual content which mean it cannot be found in any search engines. Because all of us are aware that search engines cannot read images. However, the demo version of this book library has an internal search application and project developers are working to expand that to external search system.
