This is the same question many people have when they become more or less familiar with internet technology. I do not make million dollars from internet business but I do make enough to pay for my bills and livings. There are many possible ways to make money online, I will explain some of theme in these series of articles.

Whenever I think of the term “Make Money Online”, it reminds me John Chow. It not only reminds me, it also reminds Google that this guy is #1 for the term or search query “make money online”. John is a very nice guy who writes blog and share his money making, internet marketing, or even his personal life story with his blog readers. Now my writing is not about John but some of the ideas here are related to John’s ideas too. So, I just wanted to mention this individual’s name before I start 20 pages on how to make money in internet.

Wait! Those who are getting impatience, making money is not that easy, it does not matter if it’s internet or in your real life working for other company.

There are 4 ways a domain (not need to have a website) owner make money from his or her domain.

1. Direct typing of domain name:I know this might sounds wired to many of us but this is true. There are still hundreds of people out there who are so lazy or i should say ignorant that they just type a domain name in the address bar and search for their desire information. i.e. if they want to buy a domain name, they will type domain.com in the browser’s address bar. This is why Porn.com was sold for $9.5 million dollar cash.
2. Domain Parking: If you have a domain name that you do not have any website or if you are planning to abandon a website which has pretty good traffic/visitors, you can make money of that domain by just parking it. There are many big companies who are offering domain parking service for a small fees and will give you 50/50 of the advertisement revenue from that parked website. But if you are good at coding you can create your own parking website template and add paid advertisement. I should mention here that Google Adsense for Domains is one of the popular money making way from parked domain.
3. Tasting Domain Name: Domainers are allowed to take a test drive of a new domain name to see how much traffic or how much revenue they will get from that domain. Domainers or domain purchasers use automated programs to test-drive thousands of domain at the same time, park them with ads, and return them within 5 days at no charge.
4. Typo-Squatting or Misspelling: This is a little bit tricky. Domainers look for domain names that an individual might type wrong or miss spell it. Before i give an example i should say that many big companies are aware of this strategy of domainers and they tried to get all the related domain names close to their original domain name. As for example if someone who is bad in English or being lazy or having a bad day might type www.googlee.com instead of real domain name www.google.com. In this case both domains are acquired by google since they knew that there are big possibilities that many people will type googlee.com instead of google.com and they will lose potential searchers or revenue. So, if you are lucky enough to find any domain name like these you can make a good amount of money.
