Google Adsense Test Ad On My Blog

Posted By BlogsNBucks On July 10, 2007 @ 1:38 am In Google Adsense, Make Money From Blogs | 2 Comments

Last night i noticed an unusual 250*250 Google Adsense text ad on my blog homepage. The time is around 05:15:28 (a.m.) GMT. You can see the screenshot of this abnormal Google Adsense Ads below. The title of the ad was very odd, it says “This is a Test Ad” and the description was way more odd which was “Please update with image ads once they send them“.

The url was showing Dell.ca link, the ad is suppose to be paid by Dell Computer but this is really strange that a renowned company like Dell will advertise this type of ads on a non-tech blog. They have more than one individuals to look after these types of silly mistakes.

My guess is (it’s not a guess actually, i am almost 99% positive) that the ad was bought by some blog owner who is probably my competitor and trying to do some evil job. By the way, i am very picky about which Google Ads to show on my websites or blog. Learn more about tweaking and enhancing Google Adsense Ads from our Adsense category. I have really tight filter to block all my competitors and 0.01 cents Google ads to show up in my blog. I also do not prefer unrelated ads and no-contents website’s ads.

For now, i will keep the ad running but soon i will block the URL. I am sorry Dell, I am not ready to show your weird and strange ad like this.

UPDATE:: The ad was not by any evil blogger. It was actually from Dell.ca. After submitting the post i noticed the ad in few other well known websites. I guess big companies make this type of mistakes too. But now the question is How did this irrelevant Adsense ad received Adsense specialist approval to show up in content network?
