So far i have seen very few partial rss syndication by bloggers. But think about it, if you have thousands of rss subscribers and if they can get the full rss syndication using reader like Google RSS Reader then why they will visit your website or blog?

You might get loyal readers or might increase readers number (to show your feedburner small,cool ,colorful reader’s number icon) by offering full rss feed but lets be realistic and see it from business prospective! I used to manually visit blogs before i started to become subscriber of all my favorite blogs. But now i hardly visit those website. So, this mean they are getting NO CLICK from me. And no click in internet means no revenue.

From this point of view i would prefer partial rss feed so that reader can read only the post they are really interested in and i will get some page views and clicks. It might sounds silly to some of you but it will work. Currently i have full rss feed but soon i will limit it within 300 characters or so.

I know FeedBurner has advertisement feature to show ads inside your rss feed. But I have seen many probloggers blog’s earning report and it does not look like they are making big money from those advertisement. So, isn’t it smarter to offer partial rss feed than full?
