Free online translation tool or free web based translation service is a must have for both webmasters and normal web browsers. Microsoft has recently launched their online translation service named “Windows Live Translator”. The service is FREE but it is still in it’s beta stage of development.

Windows Live Translator is currently offering 26 language translation whereas Microsoft’s leading competitor Google is offering 25 language translation. The only 1 language conversion that Google is still not offering is English to Dutch. Both of these free online translation service by Google and Microsoft offers web page translation.

Microsoft online translation is powered by SYSTRAN software, one of the leading online translation softwares maker in the world. By adding this new translation tool to Widows Live family, Microsoft is putting up another good fight against Google’s dominance.

Another web based translation i often use is Altavista translation or babelfish translation. This online language translation provides 36 languages translation. If you have not use this web based translation service yet, you are really missing out something.
