Commenting On Blogs & Web Traffic Fact
Posted By BlogsNBucks On July 13, 2007 @ 4:38 pm In Make Money From Blogs | No Comments
Are you on the toplist of commentators in many well known blogs? Do yo think it will bring you great amount of traffic? If so, think again. Comments in a blog is important, it shows how alive is that particular blog. But commenting on blogs just to bring web traffic to your blog is meaningless. Why? Read on.
I have seen many problogger websites who has a sidebox or widget for top commentators. Whoever will add most comments on their blog will show up in that sidebox or block. Need not to mention that it will show their blog URL with hypertext. But the question is, is that brining you enough amount of traffic? The answer is both Yes and No.
Commenting on blog will bring you traffic but not a larger amount (some of them are search BOT of course, search bots like GoogleBot visit all links including “nofollow” attribute one’s but they do not put weight to those type of links when they calculate Google PageRank). You will get blog readers for your quality content and high quality third party references (according to my experience third party reference is the best for conversion and gives you great amount of web traffic). I have seen many top commentators blog but all of them are pretty much the same, with no content or barely any good quality content. Even if you manage to get some traffic from well know bloggers blog, due to the poor quality of your blog content, you will instantly loose that reader.
In conclusion, comment on a blog only because you liked the topic and you think you have something valuable to add or share in that discussion. Not because you want a backlink or to bring web traffic to your website. Do you want me to prove it? Look at all the top bloggers, have you ever seen them commenting on hundreds of blog? No, they do not do that.
